Welcome to the Royal Forest of Rusted Woodlands. The Forest is located in the East Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a recreation and education society dedicated to the study and recreation of all aspects of medieval life during the period of time from approximately 600 AD to 1600 AD. The Forest encompasses Orange, Rockland and Sullivan Counties in New York and Bergen, Passaic and Sussex Counties in New Jersey.
The links below will help you to learn about the Society for Creative Anachronism as a whole, as well as about our Kingdom and will point you in the direction of making garb and attending your first event. The best advice we could give you is to attend a few meetings, go to a few events and decide where your interests lie. If you let us know, we can connect you to Foresters with similar interests. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us, but above all have fun.
For more information, please contact the group's Chatelaine.
