Greetings to the Shire,

The last gathering on 06/09/2025 at the Lakeland Unitarian Universalist Fellowship hall saw our intrepid Seneschale Sapphira the Navigator help trace out patterns for the Queen’s favors and take some home with her. I have plenty more blank cuttings of fabric if anyone wishes to show up on Thursday 06/26 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM to trace some more and take some home. Again, please remember that there is a suggested donation of $5 so we may do right by our hosts.

Once Pennsic has come and gone, I will be contacting gentles in the nearby area to ask if they would wish to share their knowledge with the shire at this lovely space. As it stands, I will be using their generous table space to draft a pattern and cut fabric for what may well be my last piece of garb for the foreseeable future.

Novice Day approaches. In addition to the Arts & Sciences display, I’m placing the call along with Master Sir Tanaka Raiko out on social media for any who wish to teach classes suited for beginners in the SCA. Feel free to contact the Event Steward Aharon ben Ze’ev at NoviceDay@rustedwoodlands.eastkingdom.org or myself at moas@rustedwoodlands.eastkingdom.org with what you would propose to teach, how long the class would take, and if there is room needed for hands-on construction of things.
